The PetSafe Pawz Away Extra Receiver Collar can help keep pets out of trouble. It works with all PetSafe indoor and outdoor systems, which act as an hidden barrier for your pets. When your cat or dog enters the barrier area, they feel a safe, progressive static correction from their receiver collar which trains them to recognize an “off limits” area. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the waterproof receiver collars are designed for dogs and cats over 5 pounds with neck sizes 6-28 inches. The Pawz Away system works with an unlimited number of pets if they are wearing a Pawz Away Receiver Collar.

We have three cats and love them all, but one of them has an issue that in other households he might have been disowned or forever barred from the house. He pees on my furniture. I should say he USED to pee on it.I began reading books on cats and understanding their issues: cat on the bottom rung of power AND cat on the top rung of power (he is definitely on the bottom rung, poor guy!) can pee to try to establish power or to maintain power, to claim territory or keep other cats from using an area of the house. That is another topic and lots could be said. The point is, to allow him in the house, we had to keep him from going into the room where he peed. We trashed the Italian leather sofa AND pulled up the carpet because it was ruined and reeked of urine. When we put new wooden floors down and bought a new leather sofa, we didn't want him even in the room. Looked like he was going to be an outdoor cat.A friend had a dog that peed on her carpet upstairs, and she had this collar she put on her dog that would shock her if she went too close to the unit. Worked like a charm! Kept her dog from going upstairs. No more peeing. We looked into it and saw that it was also good for cats.Ordered it. When it arrived, I was a bit dismayed by how big it was. The idea of shocking him made me sad and I didn't want to hurt him. We didn't put it on him at first. Until he peed in that room on the couch. I told my husband to put it on him. It was that or keep him outdoors all the time. (In case of an accident- I highly recommend Nature's Miracle Just For Cats. It takes the smell completely away. This is very effective especially when you use this to begin with. Our couches and carpet were ruined because we had tried many other products before that and none effectively dealt with the odor.) Anyway, the option was to put it on him or keep him outside forever. Did I mention he would stay in the house nearly 24/7 if I let him? So the collar went on, and he was a FAST learner. No more peeing. It has been a few years, and he is now an outdoor cat overnight and I let him in the house where I can keep an eye on him during the day. He doesn't get into that room, but I don't totally trust him to not find another area he might like to "claim" as his and start peeing on. This is my second order. The collar was beginning to getting sparse and thin after years of use.If you cut the length of the collar, be sure to use a match to stop any of the threads from fraying.

Once the batteries die, so too does the collar. Replacing the batteries never fixes it. I'm on my 4th or 5th collar now. They all just up and die after about 3 to 6 months. I've even had the company send me replacements. Same thing. They last through initial batteries, then try and replace and it no longer works. Tried many different batteries. Just pure junk.

Update: service was excellent. Use the warranty phone number, not the website. It was outside the one year warranty but the replacement for the battery door was a reasonable 8$.....I've been happy with the product, but when replacing the batteries (2 time) the plastic piece that holds the battery in place chipped. I'm going to try to get replacement from company and will update here with my experience.

Bought a second set of 2 in November of 2020, replacing the ones i bought about 2 years before. They do the trick when they work, the problem is they don't seem to work for very long.I definitely have stubborn dogs, a Rhodesian and a coon hound. I have a perimeter puck in the kitchen and on the dining room table, as well as one of the outdoor "stones" in one of my gardens. They seem to pay attention to it when i first get it working and maybe for a few days afterwards. After a while, seems to happen when we are not around, they will almost ignore it, or just be in one of the areas too long until the safety kicks in and it turns off. When this happens I will have to remove the batteries to reset it so it works again. I have to do this almost weekly as they seem to make it happen that often.Learning this trick has drastically helped the amount of batteries I have gone through as I had originally thought that the batteries had just died. One of the problems having to do this, besides just the annoying part of having to actually do it that often and having to check that it's working, is that because of the frequency of having to take the batteries out and put them back in, the little packs the batteries go in start to break.Mine just broke again and has quit working. You can see in the image the broken one.I am currently looking for a replacement and not sure I want to continue with this brand.

We got this collar to go with the rock, which we thought would connect to her other collar but did not. It works well so far. We had to change the battery to get it to work (hence the 4-star), but maybe that one was just defective. Once changed and set up, though, it's been great. She is no longer able to chew on the things we keep on the stoop, and that's a win to me!

Très bien, dissuasif sur un petit périmètre. Émet quelques bips qui préviennent le chien de ne pas avancer . Convient aussi pour des grands chiens type boxer.
