Great tool. It advances beautifully on the rope. The springs aren’t so tight that they won’t open the cam for advancement or too loose that they won’t grab. I rigged it into a knee ascender for rope walking and it is absolutely fantastic. It is easy to clip on your line and just as easy to disengage for removal.

Honestly I don't get why they even make this for a chest ascender. I don't know anyone who actually uses a chest ascender. But it is great for making your own homemade knee ascender. And as always, Petzl products are over priced. But it works fine and is well made.

This is top of the line. Nothing more to say. Works great and I have put my weight on it many times already and have used it in rescue situations.

What can I say? It's a Croll L. Exactly as expected and advertised. I like this much better than the Croll S for the thicker body and less risk of rope wear sure to the larger channel, regardless of rope diameter.

Has the reassuring solidity that cavers expect of Petzl. The teeth were initially very sharp and reluctant to disengage the rope to move the unloaded ascender down. However the problem has reduced with use.
