I work for a large company in an industry that requires hard hats daily. We are given the cheap dome-head ones. While they work fine, they are bulky, hurt our heads and fall off easily.I have purchased a few other brands but the Petzl Vertex was the best fitting, feeling and fell into the specs I needed as a Type 1 Class E. The centerfit adjustment keeps the helmet nice and snug and with the chin strap the helmet isn't going anywhere.I needed a helmet that was low profile with regards to height off the head and circumference. This fit the bill. This helmet will accompany me in tight spaces nicely. I tried the Kask Zenith X and actually laughed when I put it on. Although well made it was huge.Hopefully I can start a trend at my company by showing them the benefits of the Vertex and maybe they will change to it.

Great all around for function and comfortablilty unless you're working anywhere in direct sun light or lots of heat especially when using with shadow visor. If you get the black one you're gonna be sweaty especially if you don't have the head vents like this model. I suggest getting the white one and the vented model if your trade allows it. I dont mind though I love it and it's way more comfortable than traditional hard hats and just as safe if not more
