I’ve been wearing hard hats for over 30 years. This is by far the best one I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t cheap in price.

I have used the major brand saw helmet for years. I was always unhappy with the way it fit and keeping the hearing protection in place. I decided to buy this Pfanner Arborist helmet and boy what a difference. It is very comfortable and stays in place even without using the chin strap. Look, this thing is a lot of money for me, but I am very happy with it. Cry once and enjoy it for as long as it lasts. If you are on the fence about buying it, just buy it.

There is not much to dislike here. Fits like a dream and is balanced well. The tuck away ear protection is a major plus. I need to find a good accessory bag that will clip on to my saw pack tie downs, the stuff sack that was included is too flimsy for that. I hope to get good service from this helmet.

I was using a normal stihl hard hat with a face shield. This helmet blows it out of the water. It's secure, and efficient. Just a solid, MUST HAVE, if you're climbing. Don't think, just get it, and pick up the saftey glasses that fit into the helmet. You won't regret it

It's a bit pricey, but we'll worth every penny. Easy to adjust for head size, and the clip in the back is an excellent feature. The mesh works well to keep saw dust out of your eyes, but doesn't limit your visibility too much. Comes ready to go out of the box, and the removable sweatband is a much appreciated feature. I only wish it were more serviceable in that the foam padding inside comes free after a bit of use, and replacing it or gluing it back in place is not easy since you can't remove the suspension system. The lack of user-servicing is why I just can't bring myself to give it 5 stars.

Excellent quality. So many extra benefits than most forestry/arborist helmets, especially if you’re wearing one for several hours at a time. Fold-in ear protection, one hand quick release, easy open or close top air vents!(no more helmet oven!) Plus many extra accessories available direct from Pfanner.

Just spend the money it’s worth it! I’ve had my Protos helmet for about a year now, I use it everyday and it still looks and function like it’s brand new. It’s very comfortable. Best on the market! Just spend the money and buy it you won’t regret it. We use them for our whole crew!

This think is awesome. First time using it, definitely saved me an eye. The shield easily stopped a high velocity wood chip flying directly at my face.Very comfortable, well fitting. If you own a chainsaw, this is a worthy investment.
