Came in a thick plastic, about 7 mil, bag. No rips or tears in plastic. I didn't weigh or count them before I shot but it seemed like the right amount, I didn't feel ripped off that is. The size and shape are fairly uniform. Where this ammo shines is in practice and learning. I purchased a Simple Shot Hammer XT (Recommended if you don't have a slingshot, with the LT heads) and it has been years, probably decades, since I shot a sling shot. In the process of learning how to shoot one again I hit the frame a couple times, the ammo just disintegrated, it didn't ricochet. I am certain if that were a marble or steel I would have gotten hurt in some way. As far as practice, this stuff is really accurate for what it is. I hit a few plant stems/stalks from 20+ feet away and a 2" pipe from 30+ feet away. Plus it's reactive (breaks apart on impact) and biodegradable! All in all a great buy!TL;DR: great ammo for the price, right amount, great beginner/practice ammo, safer than steel/marbles, accurate. Plus it's reactive (breaks apart on impact) and biodegradable! All in all a great buy!

I just sit on top of my boat, shoot these in the air, watch them plop in the water. Good price. Pretty solid. I thought 1/2†was a pretty good size which is ample… However, I ordered 3/4†just a wee bit bigger

Good size for medium slingshots, and very degradeable. If these are actually clay/dirt (which I hope they are, but I'm not going to have them lab tested, ya know?) then they're excellent. If they impact a hard surface they do explode at high velocity, so absolutely wear you some safety glasses if your targets are hard and pretty close. They are mostly the same size, there's a few small ones in the package. The inside material is a different color than the outside, and grittier. All in all, they're decent, I don't use targets or anything, though I probably should, and I'm absolutely not a professional slingshot master, so I can't tell you how accurate they are, or even how you should use a slingshot lol. They do their job for me, and I don't have to go pick up a bunch of metal or plastic after I use them.Four stars because of the undersized handful in the package of 1000. I can imagine that if you're doing this on some kind of higher end hobbyist and up level that it would be annoying, and there's also a couple misshapen ones. But the rest are pretty round and pretty close to the same size, so I don't have any complaints.

No dislike here BUT, clay ammo IS sensitive to moisture. Test performed: ammo sample dropped into water. In less than an hour the sample was found disintegrated to a lump of loose mud. Surface glaze dissolved away - keep this ammo dry.Ammo holds close to .5 inch, "fifty caliber", size. Some samples were found slightly large, and some of the samples were found slightly smaller. According to product net weight divided by piece count, each projectile weighs approximately 40 gns (grains). That is same weight as a "heavier" .22 Long Rifle bullet. This weight noted proves this clay ammo specific gravity is heavier than the "glass" used in making like-size marbles. PLUS slingshot test showed superior range and stable flight. With "moisture advisory" note in mind , this is a very good product.Note: terminal ballistic (target impact) test not performed.

Very happy with these. They don't immediately break down in water, which could be good or bad depending on how long you expect them to take to degrade in nature. The exploding on impact is a fun feature though!

I bought this to run slingshot events for girl scouts. The shot are mostly uniform in size, smooth and hard. They fit well into the pouch on a wrist rocket, and they are hard enough to make a great noise when they hit cans, trash can lids, xylophones, etc. Best of all, they're just dirt! So there's little need to clean up when you shoot in the woods. On top of all that, the price per shot is great!

Great for relatively inexpensive and earth friendly plinking fun! Lack of weight limits consistent results compared to steel shot at longer distances.

Good value for target practice rounds. After shooting about 100 so far, these clay balls seem consistent enough in shape and weight to hone aiming skills. I like that these clay balls disintegrate upon impact with solid targets and missed shots outside dissolve into the environment after rain or exposure to the elements. No mess to clean up, no steel, plastic, or rubber balls to retrieve. I put a few balls into a glass of water and they dissolved overnight. I have no complaints about this product and would recommend to others.

Took these out with our local Scout group to practice slingshots. We love the fact that they turn to mush when wet, but are hard and fly true in use.

I've ordered 2000 of these twice. One good experience and one not so good. The first order mid 2023 came in a heavy plastic bag and the balls had a chalky/matt finish. They were extremely uniform in size and proper sized. They flew fantastic and were great fun.The second order early 2024 came in mesh bags and the balls had a smooth finish. They were not the same size - they were much smaller than what I wanted and were down to 7mm balls. Huge variability in sizes, and many flat spots etc.Not impressed with the change, but I'm still shooting them and still have fun. The variability has reduced the ability to be consistent in shooting.

This is an excellent and safe alternative to steel ball bearings.
