In comparing the PH sensor to a more expensive one this was identical readings across the scale. Nice to have both PH and PPM or EC displayed at the same time.

I figured it would be a decent, cheaper alternative. Well, I'm genuinely impressed! Once I got it calibrated (which, by the way, was super simple with the YINMIK pre-mixed solutions), it's been just as accurate as my fancy meter for pH and temp. And I love that it shows EC and pH on the same screen. It’s so slick! So, if you’re like me and need a reliable, affordable meter for hydroponics, home experiments, or just checking the pH of your fish tank (or your fermented beer wort, apparently, because this thing can do it all!), I’d recommend giving this YINMIK meter a try. Just don’t expect it to replace a $500 lab instrument.

Purchased mid December, started using right out of the box without calibration. Out of curiosity, just calibrated after 10 weeks. pH out by 0.2. Not an issue for hobby hydroponic, since pH range for most plants is at least +- 0.5. Well worth the investment, get stable pH reading within 2 seconds. EC reading almost immediate.

I use this meter biweekly to monitor my hydroponics system. The meter is quick and reliable so far, and its been 3 weeks. For calibrating pH there are two small bottles of pH 4 and 7 buffer solution, but the pH 10.1 comes in a packet that you need to mix with distilled water (i used tap haha). There is no bottle to store it in so you have find your own - kind of wish this was just provided in a bottle. The EC calibration solution is also provided. the pamphlet gives great instructions on cleaning, storage, use, and calibration. Overall I give it 4.5 (not an option), but only due to the 10.2 buffer solution not being available. Really coming in handy. If you are looking for a smaller probe, find one that only measures pH. The size works well for me so it was not a factor in my decision.

Works as advertised easy to use. I like that it does diolved solids and ph.

What’s the conversion factor on your PPM meter?

I have several meters for my hydroponic set up.This one is also good and does the job. Also come with calibration liquid. All my meter s come close to each other after calibrating them ,usually one point off but that's good enough for a non professional grower of lettuce and tomatoes.

So I went from putting the metal rods in the ground which they’re all junk to the yellow and blue ones in those are junk, but they were better than the metal rod ones. Then I found this one he gets to the number whether it’s temperature PPM or the acid alkaline number quickly and stays there pretty much. It sealed better than the others so when you drop it in water like I did, it won’t go bad and it stays accurate. But if you wanna waste your money on the others like I did so be it, but I went through close to $100 before I found this one and the only thing that will probably go wrong with this one who is the batteries’s dying but they’re easy to replace. Have a great day make better decisions they don’t cost you more time later down the road and money.

I was have older version (green one) and was working perfectly for a long time! This one is poor quality! I have fallow instructions and with 1 measurement was probablem but I have given a go but with second gets faulty and I can't even calibrate it now. I'm disappointed with a quality.
