This stuff works well. I used 2 layers of this purfling with one layer of binding. I dealt with the curliness by doing the "tape it all down first" method, then applied CA in between the tape. Then removed the tape, and applied CA accordingly. It can be brittle, so just avoid your burly lumberjack mode and use care. This particular fake MoP color scheme is particularly forgiving - I used Robbie O'Brien method of "CA and sanding" to fill in the seams and they are invisible.
