It looks like it is a good quality, new alternator for AMC and Jeep vehicles. It was locked up and rattling when it arrived. It turns out that the nut from the charging post was inside the alternator. After some shaking, it came out, and the unit spins smoothly.

The alternator is well built and heavy duty. The alternator tested out to the correct output and all the mounting bolts lined up as they should. The alternator was quiet and did a quick job of charging the battery. A reasonable alternative to an expensive dealer part install.
