This phone back glass blasting tool was a very good addition to my tools. Not only is it durable, made out of tungsten steel, it is adjustable with the screw on the bottom. The strength of the tip allows me to get my phone fixed quickly and easily, while saving money on repair labor costs.

Doesn’t always click and deploy, sometimes you have to press it down multiple times. It worked for my purposes in the end. It’s adjustable, but there’s no way to tell if you’re making the impact more powerful or less.

Don’t wanna pay Apple $349 to replace cracked glass? You can (maybe) do it yourself, but it’s a lot of work and there’s a chance it could go wrong. Even with a heat gun and a hobby knife, removing glass can be very slow and tedious. This tool helped a lot, but it’s still hard work and took several hours. When you open the pen, the natural thing to do is take off the cap and then try the screw on the top. When you unscrew the top, a spring and metal “bullet†fall out. This is where I think a lot of people had problems. They need to be in the correct order and direction - put the “bullet†in first with the small hole facing the direction of the pen tip, then put the spring in. After that, screw the top back on and start with a middle/light level of pressure. If used correctly, the pen should pop when you press it down all the way. Be careful because too much pressure can damage the phone! You can always add more later by adjusting the screw, but there is no fix if you use too much and damage your phone’s internals. The real trick, though, is not breaking up the glass but peeling it off. If you don’t heat up the glue behind the glass enough, it’s almost impossible to peel the glass off. But if you heat the phone too much you can damage your battery or even brick your phone. I got lucky and my first repair was a success, but it easily could have gone wrong. If you are a beginner at phone repair like me, I would think twice about doing it yourself if you have a newer phone with a high value. Besides this tool, you will also need a heat gun (or heat pad), a holder or vice, and something sharp to remove the glass with. It’s your call, just know the risks.

Worked like a charm. on the lightest setting, and within the area around an iphone camera, it helped perfectly with the cleanup.

I had to use this to change out the back glass on an iPhone 13 Pro. It made a couple mild dents, but it doesn’t seem to affect adhesion. Some kind of instruction manual would be helpful- maybe I could’ve prevented the punches that were a bit too hard. 🤷â€â™€ï¸
