A rod end bearing, also known as a Heim joint, is a mechanical articulating joint. Such joints are used on the ends of control rods, steering links, tie rods, or anywhere a precision articulating joint is required, and where a clevis end. The advantage is that the ball insert permits the rod or bolt passing through it to be misaligned to a limited degree.

Good quality for Rod end bearing.Reminder that the thread rod needed is 5/16 -24, which is not common at most hardware store.It is also more expensive on-line.Most hardware store will carry 5/16" - 18.For my application, I re-thread the 18TPI to 24TPI at the rod end and works just fine.
