Water beads up into droplets at low speeds that are easily removed by ordinary wiping. And at higher speeds, wind pressure pushes the water off the windshield, often without even requiring wiper use. The silicone coating also reduces drag and eliminates annoying and inefficient chattering, regardless of the shape of the windshield to provide greater comfort for both driver and passenger. Silicone Wiper Refills reapply the silicone coating every time the wipers are used and fit Super Silicone, Aero Vogue and some OE wiper frames.

For my 2013 Mazda3 i Touring Hatchback: The 19" (passenger) PIAA refill which is 6mm wide fit fine. The 14" (rear window) PIAA refill which is 6mm wide fit fine although it was tricky getting the refill into the existing blade because of the stops at both ends of the blade to prevent the blade from sliding out. The 24" (driver) PIAA refill which is 8mm wide did not fit as the claws on existing blade were 6mm wide. I'm not sure which if any blades are original. I ended up getting a 24" Rain-X Expert Fit Conventional blade for $8.50 at Wal**** which is 8mm wide and the PIAA 24" refill fit great although it is 1/2" shorter. I don't know the width of the other length Rain-X Expert Fit Conventional blades so you'll want to check. I took a caliper to Wal**** so I could find the right blade to accept the PIAA refill. My advice: Measure your existing blades to determine whether they are 6mm or 8mm wide. Think about which refills will fit if at all considering the 24" and longer refills are 8mm wide while those shorter than 24" are 6mm. You might need to get a new blade whose width fits the PIAA refill width for the length you need. Consider cutting a longer refill to fit and possibly use the metal strips from your old blade in the new refill so you don't have to cut the metal strips.

What can you say about a wiper that lasts almost 4 years and still was marginal. I mean better then most new blades. Thats why i only use silicone piaa in my 3 cars, its a no brainer. The inserts are cheap just be careful of blade holder sizes there are more then 1. But you can find a cheap holder that fits corectly. Much cheaper then the whole assembly. They last and last, bosch 2nd best maybe a year if you are lucky, maybe. Silicones just work better and last. Not even a conversation, I only use silicone.. They can be cut down to to fit and be the correct size for your arms sizes are on the sites. Just measure yours to be sure. The width of the wiper attachment varies, so measure to be sure. i got a longer wiper to match my arms, that I just cut down.

I've been using wiper refills for my 2014 Tacoma OEM blades since I bought the truck new. Refills either OEM or another well known manufacturer. The OEMs always lasted the longest, before the ends would start to tear. So this is my first try with PIAA silicone refills. The Tacoma driver side OEM blade takes 22'' x 8mm refills. PIAA 22" refills are 6 mm wide. So I purchased these 24" x 8mm and cut to fit so they extend about 20mm past the end of the blades last claw. The PIAA 8mm wide refills and their metal splines fit perfectly. I shortened the metal splines with a Dremel cut-off wheel and trimmed the rubber with scissors. I just made sure I cut the end opposite the end that is secured by the blade's first claw. I thoroughly cleaned the windshield, used the PIAA prep pad I purchased separately and ran the wipers dry for 5 minutes as recommended by PIAA. There does seem to be some silicone in the prep pad because there was a slight haze that needed to be wiped off 10 minutes after applying the pad. So the PIAA blades are working very well. I am hopeful that they will survive winter's cold and summer's heat.

Replaced the wipers in my oem wiper blades with these. The drivers side fit pretty well, I ordered 24" 8mm for both sides though because even though the passenger side is a lot shorter than 24 inches it appears to be 8mm in width so I ordered a longer one and cut it since the wipers under 24" come as 6mm- I saw another reviewer said his Honda is the same way. I used the metal supports these came with on the drivers side and drivers side installed nicely without any issue, but used the metal from the old wiper on the passenger side since the metal was pretty strong and I couldn't cut it down with the tools I have (wire cutters, also tried tree branch looper). There are little hooks on the metal and I had to flip the old metal bars around and rebend them for the passenger side a little bit to get them to fit right but not very difficult, I'd actually never changed my own blades before I usually just buy some at an oil change but it was pretty easy, watch a youtube video if you get stuck. Another possible concern about cutting it is there are ridges in both sides of the rubber in the wiper that the metal sticks hook onto for grip, if you cut it short you cut one of those ridges off but despite that the wiper feels snug and secure and I've used it a couple times so far with no problems. Haven't seen a dramatic "rain-x" effect of the water beading yet but maybe I haven't run them enough yet to really coat the windshield well, they do seem to wipe well without streaks and will hopefully last a long time since the cost a premium over regular wipers.

I purchased these refills to replace the oem wipers on a 2010 Subaru Impreza. When I was researching options for replacements, I read in other reviews that people had to re-use the metal strips from their original wipers because the new ones didn't fit. I will confirm that these refills will fit the oem wiper assemply on the 08-11 Impreza's and 08-14 WRX/STi's without any modification.I've had these installed for a few weeks and so far they're working great; no chattering or streaking. I highly recommend buying these refills if you're wiper assemblies are still in tact. Reduces waste from working wipers being discarded and potentially cheaper than buying a brand new wiper assembly.

I have the PIAA wipers installed on both cars at home. I decided to try the refill blade to save money and produce less waste when it was time to change the wipers. The instructions were on the back, it was easy to remove the old blade and insert the new one. It get a little tricky when you get near the end when the tab needs to insert in a cavity on the refill blade but, everyone should be able to install it at home.

Purchased this multiple times, working well in Seattle and Delaware. After I moved to Quebec Canada, it will only lasts 2-3 months, because of the low temperature and too much dirt and dust.IMPORTANT NOTE:DO NOT WIPE THE BLADE (the rubber part), it has a special layer of black coating which helps repel the rain.If you thought that's dirty greasy oil from production and wipe it out, the blade will wear out within a month.
