I bought these to use as kitchen darning needles. For this I had to actually use a pair of pliers and a screw driver to enlarge the eye a little more to get the cooking twine through the eye. I also had to sharpen the point part of the needle to get it to go through the food (Skin of the Chicken, Turkey, Duck, etc.).To sew crochetted or knitted things, these would work beautifully as they came in.If these were bought to use in traditional sewing, I would wonder if the needles are sharp ehough to go through the fabric.

I’ve recently gotten into making sketchbooks for myself and as gifts for my crafty friends. The deeper I’ve dug into bookbinding the more I’ve realized how important the correct needles are. This collection gives you the basic needle that you need for bookbinding at a good price. Even if you purchase one of the beginners bookbinding kits I would suggest purchasing the selection so that you have all the needles to make bookbinding easy.

This is great for darning my socks! It is the best of very many yarns & threads that I have tried for the purpose. The repairs are soft and comfy on my toes . The yarn is strong and holds a knot well without creating a bulky nodule.
