Do not buy this. It is a waste of money. It is SO quiet. It sounds like when you turn up the volume all the way on your earbuds and can hear it faintly when it's just sitting on the counter instead of in your ears. I wish I had of read the reviews on this thing. Yeah it didn't cost much, but I literally have no use for it. If I could give it a 0 star I would.

I bought this for my son who would constantly fall asleep with headphones on listening to music at night and get tangled in cord. He was very satisfied with this. Yay. No middle of the night anxiety for me that he is going to strangle himself lol.

This item was so quiet that even when I laid it on the pillow next to my head it sounded like a small murmur. I was using it with an old school personal CD player and turned the volume up on the CD player to the highest and at best it came out sounding like a whisper. I can't imagine how low it would have been without the aid of the auxiliary CD player, as this item doesn't have a volume button. It was easier for me to just put in my wired in-ear headphones and listen to music that way as I went to sleep.

I have bad hearing and bought this so I could listen to audio books at bed time, but unfortunately the is no volume control for this and it is set very quite.
