This cable is better than a broken one, but not by much. It is very poorly made and will make your shifter feel super cheap. There is absolutely no resistance whatsoever in the shifting action, it feels like you could shift gears by blowing on the shifter. I wouldn't be at all surprised if a good bump or pothole would knock it into the wrong gear while driving.
