Buy cheap strings only unless you have a concerto with an orchestra ! Use the cheaper strings instead to demonstrate against the EXHORBITENT cost of strings for our instruments ! Good players need fresh strings to play fast and accurately, but greed by the manufacturers and sales people will permanently end musicians ! It takes a lifetime to learn to play at a professional level, and a considerable investment in musical instruments and teachers. For strings to be 2000 x more expensive that guitar strings make NO SENSE. Please Amazon, drastically drop these prices so that musicians can survive ! Once gone, they will become extinct.

Daughter studies cello performance at university and her professor recommended these. She's very happy with them and says that they bring a new level of sound to her cello.

Waste of money. For a student, this was a big hit to my budget. Took off the A string to try another string, and wanted to put it back on, only to see the string was compromised and misshapen. After ONE USE! At least these strings should be useable more than once, and not deform after one try. And the D string felt like a false string. Contact with string was never good and sounded like a wolf tone. I'm disappointed beyond measure. Lower strings are great. I always bought strings from other sources and was never this disappointed. I figured because I love Amazon, I'd trust them. Never again.

Excellent strings. No break between the A and D. G and C wonderful and rich. All are highly responsive. The $300+ investment worth it if you care about getting the best possible sound from your cello.

These strings bring out the best in my 200 + year old cello. They carry the overtones into the high ranges and have quick response. Enjoy.
