Grabbed this 45" handle, 10 tine pitchfork for leaves and brush and yard garbage. Has a good weight to it, like it'll be able to handle the brush piles and branch battles I have every year. No complaints and the price is reasonable compared to other retail stores.

I’ve been looking for a good manure and compost fork for the barn, but I keep seeing those lightweight units that crumble at the first sign of weight. It is either that, or, if they are somewhat sturdy, they’re so small that they are more appropriate for cleaning out a cat litter box than a stall. So, when I saw this pitchfork, I ordered it immediately.Unfortunately, although this fork is definitely heavy, all of the weight is in the handle, not the tines. The pole portion also seems disproportionate - it’s so short that even my 5’ 1” and 5’ 3” daughters remarked (unprompted) on the length immediately. All three of us agreed that using this pitchfork for any length of time would be a laborious task.The tines are mid-weight, but they flex. The end caps aren’t attached well - one was already missing by the time I received the unit - so I’m questioning this product’s overall quality and durability. It really is a shame because I wanted to like this unit so much; but, for $46, I want a manure fork that’s both balanced and strong.
