They seem sturdy enough. I may be using them in the wrong place. I put them in my garden. I can't read the labels, because they're so small. They would work for a house plant, but to be used in the garden they need a larger label plate to write on. I'm giving them away to someone who has house plants or wants to label something in a greenhouse.

The tags came with a strong brown paper adhesive attached to both sides. All 50 tags had to be submerged in hot water to loosen it and even then it was hard to get off. The black tags are shiny almost glass like in appearance. I wanted something that would blend into the garden not reflect sunlight and bring attention to it. I’m also considering spray painting the aluminum hooks a brown or black so it won’t be so noticeable in my garden. Cute design but not exactly what I expected. I’d say the pictures for this product are misleading. For these reasons I will probably be returning to Amazon.

They look very cute next to the plants. The pens could be better. Two out of the three boxes I purchased, the pens didn't work. That's the only reason I didn't give them Five stars.
