The plastic snap closure on my Northface sling bag was broke so I got a replacement snap and realized I needed thick gauge thread and needle to sew the nylon strap together. It’s like upholstery thread. This kit has everything that I needed. The needles, thread, seam ripper and scissors and finger protector. A solid purchase and the case is perfect. I see this more as a heavy duty repair kit and keeping it all in 1 case is practical and efficient.

For some reason the front seam about 8†from the from of our reclining couch pulled away and became exposed. It’s only a few years old and you can imagine how unhappy I was. Looking around I found this little kit. I could’ve just bought the needles and thread separately but this seemed to be a great deal. I love that it has a container. It holds everything neatly. Everything is made very well. You have an array of thread choices which is great because you never know when you will need to fix something. This kit is super easy to use. I did a ladder stitch and it looks like new. Great product.

I work for a delivery company. The vehicles are mostly well maintained, except several of them have the seats coming apart by the right shoulder area. They are Ram Promaster van's. The foam keeps flecking off onto my clothes and the floor. I decided to buy this kit to sew them up myself. I'm not great at sewing at all, but I did an alright job. I was nervous the thread may not be very strong in this kit, but I put a few smaller stitches in before doing any of the complete jobs, and stress tested them by pulling at the still open seam where I'd just stitched it. None of the stitches released. And I wasn't being nice, I was yanking pretty hard. This of course may depend on your stitching job. I was going very tight with the stitches. This kit also included some scissors that are actually decent. Most small sewing kits usually have a pair of scissors that basically collapse when you try to use them. These scissors, however, are quite sturdy. They are like the sewing scissors they used at the sewing plant that makes the U.S. Militaries uniforms. (one of them) so basically professional. There are lots of other little helpful tools included in this kit. The "thimble" is actually way more useful than traditional thimbles because of the level of control it offers, being able to loop around your fingertip instead of awkwardly sit on the end (I have big fingers).After having found success with the van seats, I found lots of other little things around the house I was able to use this on; The stitching on the edge of my couch seat, the bottom seam of my hot food delivery bag, and the button on my work shorts. (too thick for small needles in most kits).I see now that the price went down by a few dollars a couple days after I ordered it, but its worth the original price I paid.One other thing: I really like the little case it comes in. Its helpful as it not only keeps everything together securely, but its flexible enough to take a bit of abuse inside of a bag without breaking.

This is a fun kit with lots of large needles, an assortment of other tools, and thread. The quality of the items is mostly quite good. Unfortunately the thread is not what I would describe as heavy duty. So if that’s the main reason for your purchase I might look elsewhere. Otherwise quite good though.

What can I say? You get a lot, a great variety, it's quality stuff, very handy, I love the colors, the case is nice and durable, and it's overall a great value. The scissors are sharp and easy to use and put away in their dedicated case, the cloth measuring tape is better than the one I had before, this is just a really convenient kit to have and I love how everything is neatly organized as well.

This little kit was a wonderful purchase! The piping around the top of the upholstered dining room chairs was fraying. With all of the choices of thread, I found the perfect color match. With all of the choices of needles, I found the correct one. I used the little scissors too. I can barely tell where the repairs were made. I also repaired a decorator pillow successfully. The kit fits easily in a drawer because of its small size. Great purchase!

This little repair kit is AMAZING for the price ! Thread quality is much better than the average mini sewing kit and the needs are heavy duty. The scissors are also great and incredibly sharp. Very very good buy
