Worked right out of the wrapper, no need to charge. It says Plantronics on it, I didn't think it would be an actual Plantronics but who knows? Some of these batteries are fatter and don't fit in the headset properly but this one fits perfectly. I guess that is what Amazon means when they asked me to rate "sheerness". Battery life- well I won't know for a while but so far as good or better on holding a charge than any of the others I've used over the past few years so I gave it a 5 on battery.

I had the same headset for years and I just purchased new batteries for the old one, but the headset would no longer work properly and I wanted to replace it with the same (which is discontinued). I was happy to find this reconditioned headset and handset lifter at a very reasonable price. It arrived very quickly and was easy to hook-up. Works great and I'm thankful to be hands free again!

I noticed that the original battery in my Savi W420 headset was not holding as much charge. This battery was an excellent replacement. I've been using this new battery for 5 months, much better than the old original battery. Getting the old battery out was a little challenging because the old battery had swelled up a little bit. But once the old battery was out, this new battery went in great. It's a little bit tricky, but you can find videos online that show how to replace.

I have had my Platronics headset for years and it finally started dying after just a couple of minutes on the phone. I thought I was going to have to buy a new one until we found out that there is a battery in the headset that we could try replacing? Really? LOL Never even thought about that one. I received the battery and now my headset works perfect and I am able to stay on with customers or vendors for however long I need to!

We get only a years life out of these batteries before they have to be replaced; which we do 8 headsets at a time. We have used cheaper batteries that had longer life, mostly only by a few months; but had one set we got 2 years out of them. Unfortunately that product disappeared at some point.Why can't anyone make a quality batteries for these units??
