Be aware that if you have a welder with threaded tips that screw into the tool, like mine, these might not fit. Though the diameter seems close and the tool has the requisite retaining screw, the threads inside make the orifice too small for these tips. I will hold onto them because they seem to be of high quality and I intend to acquire another iron so I can work with two different profiles without having to swap tips.I'm not granting five stars because the edges are a little rough -- not as bad as my iron's original tips, but I think a tool designed for melting and smoothing plastic ought to itself be smooth if not chamfered.

The bottom surface of these tips is machined, but not smoothly enough for optimal results when trying to smoothen plastic welds (an inherently ugly process it seems). They also have no finishing on the corners, so the casting flash leaves trails in the plastic as the iron passes over it. Just the tinyest little bit of finishing to the bottoms and corners and these would be perfectly fine. As is, they need a bit of "user adjustment."

These plastic welding tips are simple yet work very well. They heat up well and work as they should. The quality of your heating iron or "soldering" iron does matter. They did not work in my battery operated one as there was not enough power. They also did not work in my 1500 watt soldering iron as it needs two stems to go in. It did however work in my standard single stem 1000 watt soldering iron with no issues at all. Just make sure you buy the proper plastic strips for melting/welding.

I pretty much ruined the tips that came with my welder through using them so much.These tips fit my machine perfectly.I only got the set to use two of the tips and have used both already.But the awl tip is going to come in handy for many things.The bonus is that they come in a sturdy little case that will keep the tips from rolling around in the case for your welder.MADE IN CHINA

These plastic welding tips are pretty great.The tips arrive in a plastic container that I show in my pictures with all 4 pcs inside.The issue I have is that I guess I didn't check the diameter of these tips because they are huge. They don't fit any of my soldering irons and I don't know what kind of soldering iron it would fit. There must be some industrial or bigger soldering iron with a large diameter hole that can fit these posts. I may attempt to just grind down the tail end of these to fit them into my normal soldering irons but as it is, they are unusable to the average soldering iron.Overall, great heavy duty tips that are probably great at melting plastic but are unusable do to their diameter size.
