These work great. I'm using 1/4" elastic cord, I think the description says 1/8" is largest, but I tried both and 1/4" holds much better without being too difficult to pull through.What isn't great are all these suggestions i've been seeing for how to thread them. Threading a second piece of thread through the hole is a waste of time and still really, really difficult to do, and threading a needle is extremely hard with 1/8" or 1/4" elastic cord (that's a big needle). Forget the extra piece of thread, forget the needle, just use an ordinary paperclip.1. Open the paperclip and fold it in 1/2 once2. slip the cord in the folded piece3. thread the two ends of the paperclip through the silicon cord lock4. pull it through.You can have these things done in literally 3 seconds each and reuse it over and over. Sadly, the paperclip will never clip paper again.If you are sewing your own mask, put a bead on the loop so the silicone bead doesn't fall off the end when resizing it. It takes slightly longer because you have to pull the cord through once, thread the bead, pull through again, but you'll see the benefit after your 4 year-old keeps pulling the silicone bead off while fiddling with his mask forcing you to rethread it every 5 minutes. Amazon has some glow-in-the-dark ones.

These are a very specific item...for a very specific need. Some of our masks (the kids, mostly) were a little too big and these make quick work of snugging them up. Note that the holes are TINY - I used a little hook to pull the cords through, but once on they will STAY on and you can easily adjust fit on the go. Perfect solution for this problem!

So I bought this to put on my kiddo's face mask since it was a slightly loose on his face. Following the instructions to thread the needle and pull up the string went well. My only complaint with this is that it does come off - how easily, you'd have to really pull it I guess because the day care has sent home two of my mask already w/out the backing. So maybe a recommendation to other users, try to have a small stopper to prevent it from getting pulled out all the way. Otherwise, value for it was good and did work when the items didn't get removed.

This product is exactly what I had in mind and was happy to see it was available on Amazon. I really appreciated that the vendor could include both black and white pieces in one package because I wanted both colors but did not need that many of each color. It was great that I didn't need to buy a package of each color and then have to waste many of them.These pieces went on perfectly for the elastic strings on face masks. One type of elastic I was using was pretty thick, but the tiny hole in the silicone piece stretched enough for both the elastic and the wide needle holding the elastic to go through it and then the runny home went right back to its original size.Using this little item enables me to make masks for people that they can adjust to fit them when I don't know how tight to make the elastic.

These took a long time to get to me, but I’m sure that’s the fault of COVID related mail delivery. Once they got here, I put them on my face masks that are not adjustable and they work great! I see complaints here that they didn’t include instructions but all you have to do is look at the pictures on this item description. It’s pretty easy to thread a needle through one end, wrap around the mask strap, and pull the needle back through while holding onto the buckle. Easy! I showed the finished mask to family members and now everyone wants them.

These work great on thing elastic bands on masks. But the hole is very small. It’s very difficult to put on thicker elastic bands. But they do stay in place! I unwind a paper clip, leave a loop on one end, but the elastic band through the loop, slide the adjuster down the paper clip then onto the elastic band.

Awesomeness! Now I can make all of the masks 😷 fit properly. The only thing I can suggest is to add some instructions on how to put them on. I figured it out after about 20 minutes. It’s also not going to fit very well on masks 😷 with thicker ear loops. That being said, the easiest way to use this product is with a small crochet hook, insert the hook into the smaller size hole place the ear loop on hook pull through.
