This thing is sturdy! And stunning. It was super easy to install with my husband and it looks gorgeous. The doors are heavy duty and stay latched with the magnetic latch. Did I mention it’s stunning? So beautiful

I had been looking for a fireplace screen to protect my new floors from burns, but everything I looked at was so bulky. I also wondered about where I would put a screen when I needed to move it to tend to the fire. It all seemed so potentially messy and dated. Then I stumbled upon this insert and really liked the clean look. I hadn't wanted glass, just the screen, but I've grown to appreciate that the glass blocks the smoky smell from the room when the fire isn't lit.The details: It took us about 30 minutes to install, and was a fairly simple job with tools we had in the house. The magnets for the doors are pretty strong, so you don't need to worry about the screens popping open if a log shifts (unless it is a massive log). The quality is really great for the price. The metal is strong, and though we didn't need it, they included an extra metal piece that can be attached below the doors if you have a bigger opening .

I did not install this myself, but the guy that was working on my fireplace in my rental house said it was easy to install. The old set had a badly rusted mesh curtain that was difficult to draw across the opening. This set of doors is much easier to use. It looks and works great! I am very pleased with the quality and functionality.

Pro: Looks nice, pretty easy to install (two people needed).Con: Less than half of the necessary insulation was included. I added the white insulation; the tan insulation came with the product. The inner screen doors open outward, but the handles on them are very small; just a minor gripe. All in all, I recommend this product. It should fit a wide range of openings.

These doors look great but I am glad I purchased the extra fiberglass insulation they recommended with it. I have a stone fireplace that isn't flat on the front where it mounts. The extra insulation filled all the gaps. If the front of your fireplace is not perfectly flat you should get the extra insulation and stick it to the front of the fireplace before mounting the doors. Infact I think it would be a good idea to use it even if it is flat.

We bought two of these to replace the original doors on our 1980s vintage heatilator fireplaces. Old doors were ugly and worn out. These are not hard to install, but not super easy either. Came well packed with good instructions. We bought them almost 5 years ago, and I dont think there was a YouTube install video at that time, but the instructions were sufficient. If you're a reasonably skilled DIY person, you can install them.In 5 years, we have no complaints. Easy to operate and clean, and no finish or other issues. The instructions clearly state NOT to burn the fire with the glass closed. This is tempered glass, not ceramic like in a wood stove door. That is a different material and these doors will withstand some heat, but NOT the heat of a raging blaze close to the glass. Pictures in other reviews with broken glass from a fire is what results if you don't follow the instructions. We do burn with the doors closed and have not had any issues, but....we always make sure the fire is as close to the back of the fire box as possible, and our old heatilator fireplace has intake vents on the inside front of the fire box, so in our situation, it doesn't allow the glass to get very hot. Just be careful and read the instructions.Overall, very happy with the two we bought. The price point is good, and quite happy with the fact we have done five winters with nightly fires, with no issues with the door sets yet.

Thw title seems like a low star review but let me explain. If you go to a store they won't have what you need in stock. It will be a special order. If you go to an independent specialty store it will.be vastly overpriced. I mean starting at $500. So this was the best option. Install wqs straight forward and finish wqs as advertised

Disappointed with Quality, Requires ReplacementI recently purchased the Pleasant Hearth AN-1010 Alpine Fireplace Glass Door for my small fireplace. Unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory.Firstly, the product arrived damaged, which required me to take matters into my own hands and perform a welding repair on the door hinge to make it functional. This was quite disappointing, as one would expect a brand-new item to arrive in pristine condition.Furthermore, a significant safety concern arose when my child inadvertently shut the doors while the fireplace was burning, causing one of the glass panels to shatter into countless pieces. This raises questions about the durability and safety of the product.Given these issues, I strongly urge the manufacturer to address these quality control problems and consider providing a replacement for the damaged glass panel. Safety should be the utmost priority, and it is crucial for customers to have confidence in the products they purchase. While I appreciate the aesthetic design and potential energy-saving benefits of this fireplace door, the current experience has left me with reservations about its overall reliability and safety.

Great product, came well packaged and in great condition even after shipping across the country. Very easy to install and looks fantastic. Very durable and has held up perfectly! So glad we found this, it not only was the best looking option we came across but also the most feasible!

I bought it from warehouse deal which is less expensive. The door is beautiful and solid but accessories were missing and not easy to install. I ended up with four concrete screws at the corners to secure it.

easy to install and look great. Have a small fire place and the small size fit very well. You should go and get some extra fiberglass insulation. The don't give you enough.

This insert fit perfectly. It looks sharp and completely updates the look of my fireplace now. It appears to be solid construction. It is nice to not have to close the flue and simply close the glass doors to minimize the draft when not in use.
