The Ascot Collection Fireplace Glass Door is a decorative bi-fold style door with a high heat powder coat finish which enhances a traditional masonry fireplace hearth. This one piece frame construction is designed as a surface mount and sits outside fireplace opening against flat surface. A Fireplace Glass Door assists in reducing heat loss or cool air loss up the chimney by as much as 90 percent. That equals a year round energy savings when fireplace is not in use. The Fireplace Glass Doors all come with easy grip handles, hidden damper control knobs for air flow control and heat resistant thick insulation. For masonry fireplaces only - not for prefabricated. Always keep mesh panels closed and glass doors open when fire is burning in fireplace. Before you buy, measure the front opening width and height to choose the correct size. Made in the U.S.A. The actual frame height includes a 2 inch riser bar.

Purchased this product because the fireplace upstairs needed updated. Very easy to install, but you certainly need two people because the glass doors. The product is heavy, but that just shows it is well made, and the fact that two people are needed. One to hold, and the other to Insert and screw into place.The picture is the finished product after installation. We love the look, the finish and the price. If you're in the market for a new fireplace hearth, look no further. This is a good one.

We had purchased a screen just like this over 20 years ago. The best thing is the combination of glass doors and screen. Also, the folding doors take up less in door swing,…important if decorative items are on the hearth. Bought this for our daughter and she loves it. Installation is a breeze, and the quality is exceptional.

We were pleasantly surprised at the packaging quality and instructions booklet - what a rare thing these days! Over all quality seems very good; it’s heavy and the finish is smooth and consistent. The brackets and screws all appear to be top quality, too. We got the Large and even though it says the opening has to be 36†wide or more, it managed to fit in our 35 1/2†opening, so I didn’t have to cut bricks as I had expected; another pleasant surprise. I definitely recommend having a 2nd person hold up the unit while tightening the brackets in the fireplace opening so you can use two hands. It’s a beautiful door unit once installed. The glass and screen doors all feel tight and smooth when opening and closing, and everything lines up perfectly. So we’re super happy with it. We’ll see how it lasts and update the review if needed. One note to agree with other reviewers: the screen doors get hot, as expected, so be careful! I use a paint can opener to pull them open (it has a nicely hooked flat end), and an old pot holder to close them. Also, they like to slam a bit when the magnets get close, so if you have a baby sleeping or need it quiet, just be aware you’ll need to be careful to try and close it slowly.

Have had this fireplace door for a few years. It works as well as day one. While we rarely use the fireplace, the cover also looks as good as new. Great quality!

Not surprising that these are sold at the big home-improvement stores and everywhere else.Quality above reproach.Beyond that, their packaging ensured a safe, intact, delivery.Easy install after reading the directions and watching the YouTube video. Only complication was caused by a bit of irregularity by a former fireplace re-facer, but we coped. Not PH's fault.It's heavy... two-person install, definitely.Just did our first fire--- smooth and great. Definitely favor the double-hinged doors.If your fireplace is large, and you have the room, DEFINITELY go for the "Large" size. It looks great on a 36" fireplace.

We loved the look of the screen upon opening box. My husband had to make some adjustments to make it fit our fireplace but minor & quick work . Door alignment excellent, screen functional & we just love it. Just what we needed to be able to enjoy our fireplace this winter

I like these doors. They're nice, easy to install. Solid. But I'm missing a part. Just a little magnet that goes in the corner of the screen door, as pictured. And when I tried to reach out to customer support, they asked me to PAY MONEY to speak to a representative. Cash. To get a missing part from them. Go F yourself. Bad company.
