My roommate is SUPER picky about furniture and aesthetics in our living room. And when I first showed her the picture she wasn't thrilled. Then it showed up and she loves it! Hopefully the picture gives you some perspective of what it actually looks like because from the angle shown in the picture I think it's a little deceiving. My guess is that they want to portray it as a big log holder, but I actually think the best part is that it's more of a medium size, and fits in well in a smaller, narrower living room.The canvas tote is very sturdy and fits very well in the holders. I didn't even consider this when I bought it, but it fits nice and snug. Not so tight that it's hard to get back on, but it's not hanging over the edges either.The only downside is the assembly. It's not that it was difficult so much as that it was impossible to put together without damaging/knicking the paint. If you're looking for something super classy and perfect you may want to look elsewhere. It really is just a chip, but since it's a chip in the black paint, I had to hide it in the back so it's not noticeable.

We're very happy with this Hearth Log Holder. It's not too large, fits about 5 pieces of wood and works great for us. Well made and attractive.

The included log carrier is suitable for very light loads. I already had a leather log carrier so this was not an issue for me. Picture shows leather log carrier that I already own.

I just got my log holder and I really love the look of it. I read an earlier review that said that the handle of the canvas holder section had fallen off. When I pulled my item out of the box one of my handles to the canvas part was off too, butthen I noticed that the handles are attached by the weight bar and are detachable handles. I put the handle back on and placed the canvas holder on the log holder stand. This is so cute, perfect for my small fireplace, and a great price. I can't wait to have my first fire in my fireplace with logs from my new log holder.

The holder is stylish, if a bit light-weight. The "canvass" cloth carrier isn't actually canvass, and is VERY light-weight. I doubt it would last one full season. Both, however, would likely work well for kindling carrying and storage. Just wasn't what I was looking for.

I like that I can take this out to the firewood pile and bring in logs. It's helped decrease the amount of mess in the house. The canvas strip seems like it may wear out after a bit. Its already got a couple little tears in it.
