The white with white tips is very discrete on the wall so it doesn't distract from the plates. The tips are an improvement for keeping the cut ends from being front & center.

I hung some valuable plates using these. It was hard going stretching the springs to install on the plate, but once done, I am confident they won’t slip off.

Many people go in for the clean, sleek, uncluttered lines in their homes . . . uh, we aren't those people. We inherited some stunningly beautiful decorative plates from my great aunt adorned with hand-painted fruits and vegetables. They were made in PRUSSIA before World War I (and are so marked). I found the perfect spot above a long window in my kitchen and hung the beautiful six.

Although these were a bit pricey, I wanted white plate holders for these Wedgwood plates. The 8" plates fit nice and tightly in the holders so I felt secure about hanging them. They also come with all the hanging hardware to hang them properly. I do wish they had vinyl coverings over the ends so that they couldn't possibly scratch the plates; as some of my other plate holders have. The wires themselves are vinyl coated, but not the very ends. Overall I'm happy with them.
