Used to mount on Mic Stand to hold headphones in recording booth. Does what It says. Good product. I recommend. Plus for being adjustable for different size headphones.

A one US cent per unit change in nut style would go a long way to lack of an oops factor and an increase in satisfaction. The existing nut is a plain hexagonal type with no special features. It arrived unbeknownst to me, attached less than finger tight, and when I first went to hang this onto a pole, the nut fell off and the cradle and screw followed. Reassembling, I found myself applying more pressure to the plastic clamp (in the product illustrations the plastic clamp is of much better quality, metal with rubber padding) that attaches the cradle to the pole clamp, then might exceed its potential to crack and fail. The inclusion of a washer to more evenly distribute that pressure would have been nice. but no high torque tightening would be required, and so no great durability in the plastic clamp, and no washer to distribute the pressure, had the selected nut included a built in nylon lock washer. It's a common fastener type, available at most any hardware store and exactly what every user should immediately replace the supplied nut with. With that nut type in place, the user only needs to snug the pressure down just enough so that there is some frictional resistance in the clamp's rotation, but so that it still rotates freely enough to accommodate any orientation. The nylon insert nut will never loosen and fall off. Some more desirable rigidity of material would have been appreciated (the use of a thicker gauge or stiffer steel would have helped this). When tightening, because of the structural flex, the unit provides less of a clamping action and more of a spring clip type of pressure. I would have liked for the cradle arm to have been a more rigid material, but since it is so flexible, I put in a pair of sharper, 90 degree bends, rather than a U shaped sling, so that I could flatten it out between the two bends, in a larger 3 inch wide cradle profile that easily accepts my widest headphone bands. Include a nylon insert locknut instead of this plain one, and without thickening the clamp steel, this hanger would still earn 5 stars

Good clamp, flexible arms, but too bulky.I wish I could take the clamp off this one, and put it on one of the other simpler headphone holder models out there. It's just too bulky and gets in the way for my application (on a hi-hat stand). It is a nice, sturdy, flexible design though.
