So my choices were to hire somebody, to put an extension ladder up against the tree or think of a DIY solution. So I came across this cool little guy and I quickly came up with the DIY solution.I first took a roll of para cord rope and tied a small padlock to the end to get the para cord up and over the limb. I took two medium size ropes, and tied them to the ends of the hand chainsaw.I put an eye hook into a tree on the other side of where I would be standing so that the hand chainsaw would not be in a U-shape, so the limb would not bind the chain as it started to come down.Then I just pulled each rope. Wanted to time back-and-forth.Worked like a charm.

it actually works - I have tried hundreds of these and this one finally works - i had given up on these type of products but glad I tried this on.

I brought this on a camping trip and was able to cut through multiple logs up to 6" in diameter. Actually was impressed with with how fast and easy this cut. The kids had a lot of fun trying this as well, though it's length is more suited to adults. Also, be aware that 550 cord isn't the best for handles. It will cause blisters if you're not careful. I don't view that as an issue with the product as it keeps the weight down and provides convenient 550 cord if you need it.
