I actually got this for one of my daughters. She has never complained about it so I assume it works ok. I don’t do enough of the type of fastening that tool is made for to give it space in one of my tool bags. I use the technique on projects from time to time but do it freehand.

I’ve made one and a half pocket holes with this jig. Why half, you ask? The drill bit is so dull already that it literally would not continue moving through wood. I suspect that it doesn’t help that the drill bit clearly hits the inside of the jig despite using the matching size for hardware/collars in the kit. Spend more money and get a better jig. That’ll what I’ll be doing at the home improvement store tomorrow.

Kind of cheap. The holes are a little big for the bit. I already broke a bit only second time using it but for the price I guess it’ll work.

This is the most basic pocket hole jig, no bells no whistles. It will make holes for pocket screws, for whatever projects you have. You will need to clamp it to your workpiece, and you should spend some time practicing before using it on a final project.

A slight step down from a Kreg but definitely worth the price for a DIYer

1. The Good: It does start a hole2. The Bad: The drill bits were completely dull when they arrived. I couldn't drill 1/2" deep into a 2x4. The device is difficult to hold in place when starting a hold. After barely starting a hole, you don't need this device but you will have to maintain the correct angle freehand. This device could also use extra long drill bits to a better job and get better penetration.
