This compact AM, FM, weather radio is ideal especially for the low price. AM and FM are perfect. The sound is loud and clear. It gets 2 weather stations for me but transmission strength is not strong so the radio must be rotated exactly correctly. Then the weather is easily heard. Just keep AA batteries on hand and it could be valuable in emergencies even if your power went out.

The only complaint I have is the band switch positions do not match the bands shown on the front. You have to look at the back of the radio to determine the position. Small issue. Other that that the radio works well on fm and wb. The am band is week due to I’m sure of lack of a suitable antenna for am. Not sure of the longevity as I just purchased it. Small and portable and the sound is adequate.Overall for the price it is a decent radioUpdate: the issue of product reliability has been answered. About 3 to 4 days after starting to use the radio, the On/Off/Vol switch began to fail as the radio would not shut off securely with potential of running down the batteries. Too bad I really liked this radio but it is not useable in this condition. I guess it goes back for a refund.

This little radio works very well! I can get the NOAA weather forecasts anytime from anywhere! It's a small enough radio that I can keep it in my purse for accurate weather forecasts on the go. It's also nice to have FM and AM radio stations available as well. I can listen to radio stations when I go for a walk and I don't have to pay for any streaming of music.

I take this with me when I go traveling. Tuning is very sensitive, could be better. Music sound is so-so, speech is a little better.

Very inexpensive. Works very well. Nice sound. Picks up sooo many FM channels. Even a few AM. A lot of sharp, steep hills around my home. Usually, not the best radio reception here. It picked up three NOAA/weather channel. One very clear, one not as clear and one not as clear from CANADA’s version of emergency-weather channel.A pretty good little radio.

Basic, low budget, but it works. Not for people in areas where tornadoes or flash floods are a threat, and an audible or visual alarm is needed.

I liked the reception of this radio. it is supposed to be a digital chip inside and not a regular transistor. If you get used to listening to the government weather antennas, this is a real help. It takes 2 AA batteries, which are easy to get.
