The Polk ES60 usually go on sale for $450 and when they do they are a great value for what you pay speaker. They are well balanced and I chose them because they are a balanced to be a great multi purpose speaker. I frequently watch movies, listen to music, and play video games and these speakers sound great.Don't expect the perfect speaker for a single task for this price point, but if you plan on doing a little bit of everything these will sound great.

It’s a little misleading to think you can simply purchase one speaker. Nevertheless, buying two is still an unbeatable value for the money. The ease of connectivity, installation, sound, everything is just what I was looking for. I’m thrilled with this purchase.

In my opinion the sound quality you get out of tower speakers are amazing. I purchased two for my audio setup and have no complaints. Using them with a Rockville wd70 tube amp, and Pioneer Plx-500 turntable. I'm no audiophile but sounds good to me! The Rockville amp allows for bass adjustments and I feel I don't think I need a subwoofer with these. Sounds that good!

I will preface this review with the fact that I am not an audiophile, but I know what sounds good to my own ears. These Polk ES55's replaced a pair of BIC America 6.5 bookshelf speakers. Those, and a BIC America center channel speaker served me well for many many years in an 850ish square foot apartment, but once moving into a home, just did not have what I needed in terms of sound. These Polk's are in an approximately 14 x 20 ft room, and right out of the box I am in love!! I have them wired with a set of k4b Bi-Wire speaker cables, which are also amazing for the money. I am using these for a stereo set up only, mainly vinyl, with a Yamaha AS 501 integrated amplifier. They have exactly what I wanted, more bass, while maintaining the clarity that I love. Personally, I don't think an extra sub is necessary, They are perfect for what I need. I also have them right up against a wall due to space, and with the down firing port, they sound amazing. They also look amazing, I love the rounded tops, and they are beefy to boot, excellent construction. Find these on sale and they are well worth the money.

So far the only complaint I have is removing the cap so i could use banana plugs. Its horrible, other than that they were an upgrade to polks I bought 8 years ago. Which were floor standing as well, just the lower end models, I think I paid 400 for the pair then. So they are a huge upgrade, whether listening in 2 channel or in surround and atmos in my theater!Shipping was perfect and no damage!!

Excellent bass, mids are delicious and the highs are detailed without being harsh. Totally in love with these. I would still add a sub to fill out the sound.

Arrived damaged. However hooked 1 up and did not sound very good. Return and bought Klipsch. Klipsch have Amazing sound and American made.

Si estás considerando el Polk Audio Signature Elite ES55, no necesitas buscar más. Este es el altavoz que estás buscando.Bajos profundos, poderosos y controlados, agudos nÃtidos que no cansan, medios claros que te hacen sentir que tienes al cantante frente a tÃ... todo ésto en un gabinete sólido, sin resonancia y con terminado digno de un mueble fino. Extremadamente capaz al reproducir piezas complejas al grado que estoy escuchando detalles que no habÃa escuchado antes en piezas que habÃa escuchado cientos de veces con mi equipo anterior. Sensibilidad promedio, por lo que un amplificador con al menos 50W/canal y cables de conexión cal. 12 AWG de cobre libre de oxÃgeno serÃan altamente recomendados para que los altavoces puedan lucirse, pero vale enormemente la pena (los cables correctos SI hacen una enorme diferencia). Su sonido es de cálido a neutro lo que lo hace ideal para música, pero se comporta maravillosamente en un Home Theater. Los bajos tienen una presencia tan notable que para mucha gente un subwoofer será opcional. Al precio de oferta, este altavoz es la mejor compra que se puede hacer en audio de alta fidelidad en éste momento pues otros altavoces que igualen al ES55 en calidad de reproducción y de manufactura te costarán el doble o más.

Eu nunca tinha ouvido nada da Polk, mas depois de ter comprado e instalado a qualidade é ótima, vale a pena.
