While not a hand-crafted boomerang like others offered by Colorado Boomerangs, it is particularly long-lasting. It is small and light enough for young arms. This model is intended for outdoor use though and is light enough for most young arms to have some success with. It is small for a reason and yes it really does come back when thrown properly! This is a nice sturdy boomerang. I have no experience throwing one, but after reading the instructions and giving it a few tries we were able to get it to come back. It was more difficult when it was windy, but I think you will find that to be a problem with any boomerang. I watched the videos they recommended as well, so that helped too. I am not sure how this thing ranks if you are a boomerang aficionado, but for someone like me (just a casual user) it works great.

Our 8 yr old was able to read the directions and get this boomerang to return to him within 5 throws. He's one happy kid!

This boomerang works well once you figure out how to throw it. My ten year old son has had lots of fun with it, but you need to really be able to give it a good whip. You need a large, clear area to throw it.

It was small, very light and flew wonky. Whenever I threw it like I would a normal boomerang, it would fly super wonky, then I tried a bunch of different ways.... turns out you just need to throw super and I mean SUPER light. You can't chuck it which is no fun, plus It doesn't come with the instruction booklet it says it comes with.

My husband took my son to the park and was pretty pleased when he threw this thing and it came back to him. He said it’s the first boomerang that actually works. Cheap and durable; can’t beat it! Highly recommended for a fun filled day!!

I threw it so hard, it almost smashed in someone’s solar panels. If you find this one on your roof; it was me. Had to buy another one.

It takes some learning and practice but it actually works under the right conditions (not too windy) and when thrown correctly. It's fun and gave my kids (and me!) a real sense of accomplishment when we got it to work. It helps if you have a dog that will fetch it while you're learning.

Child is 8 and does just fine with this one. Took very little practice to start using it. Younger brother is fighting to use it also
