These pond scissors work perfectly. I was able to cut back some large plants that had become overgrown and messy-looking.I would caution anyone opening the package to be very careful. The company attached a spare razor with a piece of scotch tape directly to the product. It was nice to have the spare, but I did not see it and sustained a cut on my hand.

The handle is clunky and became painful quickly. Hopefully replacement blades are easy to find. The ones I have don't have the hole in the middle, but I guess I could always make a hole in them.

This tool works good for my underwater plants and lilies. I think it could be very dangerous if miss used as the razor blade cutter is fully exposed. I use a rubber band to close the blade when not in use and/or stored.

Wasn't really made like I hoped it would be. On the flimsy side.

The pull 'rod' that operates the scissor mechanism is really only a relatively soft material wire. In bends and buckles very easily rendering the tool pretty ineffective. It bent on my second or third cut. Also, it really should have one more foot of reach. Forty eight inches doesn't get you very far.

These pond clippers use a standard razor blade as the cutting edge. This type of cutting edge is best used on non-woody plants. The reach is just long enough to allow for easy snipping of dead lily leaves and not having to touch the water. So far so good! Durability is in question as the mechanics is very simple and a bit wobbly.

Slot that accepts the blade when cutting does not line up well. Ok I guess for the price...

Product works well on lilly pads and other soft plants. The grip feature worked well and held the cut plants when removing them from the water. Also came with a spar blade (standard type razor cutting blade).
