This tool is AMAZING. Before using this tool, it would take me 3-4 hours to clean the pool filters. I would dread the task. First time using it and I was able to clean one filter in less than 10 minutes. All filters were cleaned and back in use within one hour. It’s cheap and all plastic but 100% worth it if it only lasted one use (my opinion). Saved me sooo much time and water.

I maintain my own pool and the task I like least is cleaning the pleated filters. Normally I use a pistol-grip hose attachment and work my way through the folds of the filters. The Aqua Filter did a far better job and it only took 1/3 of the time it usually takes. The multiple high pressure streams of water allowed me to quickly and efficiently move my way through the all 4 filters. When I reassembled the filters and ran the pump, I was pleasantly surprised to see the pressure gauge on the filter assembly at the "Start" position. In addition the water overflowing from the hot tub to the pool returned to form. I've only used the Aqua Comb once, but as for now, I love it and would buy it again.

This works so much better than the spray nozzle on the hose, I like the off/on control valve on the handle.The nozzles provide a strong spray to clean cartridge filters (between the pleats).I have to be careful during use because it is a bit flimsy and you don't want to drop it on concrete or bang it against something solid.It's a great idea, but not the best execution of the idea.

I have been using a high-pressure nozzle on my garden hose to remove debris and dirt from my pleated pool filters. I thought this device would help me get deeper into those pleats, but it’s only modestly successful because the water pressure is lower with this device than what I get when I use a high-pressure nozzle.This said, it still worked modestly well at removing large types of debris and other dirt. It was not successful at getting some of the stains or dirt off. A high-pressure nozzle does better at that.I would rate this as a 3.5 stars overall. I am guessing this device would work better if you let your filter soak first or applied some type of cleaner to your cartridge before attempting to hose it off. This is what the instructions tell us to do. I would, however, first remove all surface dirt with a sprayer or this device and then use some type cleaner, followed by using this device to remove the cleaning solution and dirt/debris from deep inside the pleats.The device also has what looks like a on-off switch, but the button does not move and the package label says nothing about it. On my device, this knob would not turn. I don’t want to try twisting it too hard in case that would break it off and render the entire device useless. Viewing this item online before purchase, I thought this might be some kind of valve you could turn to temporarily stop water flow through the comb, but apparently not (the instructions don’t say a thing about it.)What would really give you better cleaning would be if you could get some kind of cleaning solution through this comb deep into the pleats, but the label says not to put any chemical “aid†through the comb.I will keep this and use it when my filter has larger debris to clean some of this debris away before I then use a high pressure nozzle. Note, however, that this device is not a significant improvement over the high pressure nozzle on a garden hose for removing sand or stains.

I was skeptic but it does work! A very handy device to have around for cleaining the hard to reach pleats of a typcial pool filter. The only negative is the fairly high price for the quality, as it is all plastic.

The product has an American imperial size fitting to connect to the hose. An absolute pain to attach a metric fitting to; fortunately my neighbour had experience with this problem with irrigation fittings and came up with a solution that involved grinding down a plastic metric fitting and securing it with lots of thread tape. It works really very well and no leaks now. Just a fiddle and perhaps Amazon vendor should advise that the fitting is imperial measurement..

I have used this for several cleanings of my large cartridge filters. I clean the filters with this tool to get the large debris out, soak the filters in cleaner, and then use this tool again to rinse the filters out again.Although I would prefer metal handle construction with plastic “fingersâ€, this plastic one is holding up to the task. Much cheaper than the same tool at the pool store.When using, I recommend pulling it along as opposed to pushing or scrubbing as doing so may puncture the filter cartridge.
