I have had the water tested and it showed proper levels of salt but the strips showed no salt. Today I tested with another brand of strip and it showed high. Then I tested with these strips and it showed that there is no salt.

Update: You can give these a try and get a full refund if they don't work for you. Maybe I got a defective batch, but I did get my money back, no hassle.Original review:Strip shows zero salt in my pool. I have many bags of salt in the pool. Chlorinator indicates salt level okay. I then used drops test for salt from Taylor. Tested multiple times on different days and these strips remain dark, indicating no salt, but the Taylor drops show 2400 ppm on multiple tests. The Taylor tests are probably accurate because I've had several days of heavy rain and have drained some water a few times before testing for salt.

It is not clear that these work. The reading I get from them is different from what I am being told by two different pool stores.

The color guide on bottle is not as shown on web. The actual colors are very similar and makes it difficult to get an accurate reading. Poor design.

The bottle comes with 5 packs of 10 strips that are sealed which gives you longer shelf life.I used the strips to test salinity of my hot tub against the one that came with the hot tub. They measure by opposite colors but when you look at the legend, you'll see that they are pretty darn close. It's not identical but close enough for my purposes and am happy with them.

We test our pool water for salt as this ia the first salt water pool and must be kept at a certain level sanitizing process to work.
