When using the water function be careful as it can randomly burn the cord.I bought 3 of them for one of the 3 to do this to.The second one had issues when it was plugged in with no water exposure to it that when plugged in it smelled like burning plastic.The third was a total dud and didn’t function. Just want to help warn others.

Place the small unit away from the bed, point it at my person, fill the bottom with water, and set the dials on the unit to maximum airflow, time, and light. The fan kicks in as soon as you turn it on and a gentle cool breeze emanates from the bed. Helps with sleep.
