I work the 3rd shift and was looking for something that would be apartment friendly and block ALL of the light out. Curtains just don’t cut it anymore. This sheet not only blocked the light it definitely helps with sound blockage. I have slept so good these last week.

Works great and easy to install. I used this to block out my silhouette in a deer blind. The material is a light weight plastic like sheeting that is black on one side and silver on the other. It came with a tape measure and vary sticky round velcro attachments. These worked great when adhering to both metal and cloth. The material cuts easy with a sisor. I used metal clips that are designed to pin into material like on a office cube on the top and the provided velcro on the bottom. This made it easier to release if needed. The Velcro provided has a super strong adhisive back that will also work. The silver backing also dramatically reduced heat build up in the blind from the sun. I cut the material to fit in the blind so I didnt do a perfect cut but it worked for me.

After having this curtain for a few months now, I really want to say I love this blackout curtain 100%. I love being able to custom-size it to my windows, and once set up, it does block out light perfectly.But, like other reviews, the adhesives can be finicky and may stick poorly. Initially, it took multiple tries for me to get the curtain to finally stick to the window, and I still have to press on the adhesives regularly to ensure it doesn't fall.I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but when first opening the curtain out of the packaging, it had an odd plastic/acidic/chemical scent. I'm not sure how to describe it exactly, but it did smell somewhat off. Over the last few months, thankfully, the scent has gone away for the most part and isn't noticeable anymore.Overall, I'm torn about whether or not to fully recommend this blackout curtain because, on one hand, it does serve its intended purpose. However, the low-quality adhesives and initial smell may outweigh the positives for some.

I have two toddlers sharing a room, facing the setting sun at bedtime, so this product is a life saver. It’s good quality, the size is muuuch larger than I was expecting, which is great because I just cut it to the size I needed, I had enough left over to use in another bedroom, so you’re getting great value for your money. It blocks all the light from the window. An added benefit I didn’t think about when I purchased it, was that it also helps keep the room cool. The only downside, which isn’t really the products fault, is the Velcro patches. My toddlers have probably taken them off the windowsill a few times and they’ve lost their stickiness, so sometimes the Velcro falls off. But still worth it

I got these for our first house that had plastic window frames and they worked perfectly. We moved and now have metal window frames and they constantly fall off. Today was the second time one fell off while my baby was napping and woke her up, which is incredibly frustrating. Overall these are great and very effective, especially for blocking light and heat, but only if you don't have metal window frames.

I cannot believe how well this works. It literally is the difference between night and day! It's wonderful to have complete darkness to sleep in when you have bright street lights that come into your window at night and also, for someone like me who does not keep the same schedule as the rest of the world and sleeps many times in the afternoon. Highly recommend this!

These are not exactly "shades". "Shades" implies it hangs from a fixture, and these don't. (I'm neurodivergent, so language details matter to me.) It is one big piece of material (which seems to be a thin plasticized fabric), black on one side, and silver (not shiny, though) on the other. It's big enough to cover around 4 medium-sized windows, I estimate. My two windows are 52" X 31", and I used just under half of the sheet provided.You know that old saying, measure twice, cut once? It's true, but it sure would help if there were some way to get the folds out of the sheet first. I did okay, because I have a really large cutting mat to spread it out on, and metal yardsticks to flatten it out with, but it was NOT an easy job because I didn't have a table available to work on. I had to lay everything out over the foot of my bed to get it done. To the older folks out there, or anyone with back issues - don't bother with this unless you have a decent-sized table or large counter to work on.Anyway, with that said, these DO block the light out completely, as long as you can manage to seal off the edges. It's Fall now where I am, so I can't say how good they are at keeping heat out. Maybe I'll return to this review and edit it next summer when I find out.The velcro dots stick VERY well, so make sure they are where you want them before you put the panel up. Frankly, the material is lightweight enough to only need half a dot every 4 or 5 inches at the top, so that's what I did - cut most of them in half. They're about 1 and 3/8 inches or 3cm in diameter, so they're definitely big enough. They will gum up your scissors, though, so be prepared for that if you decide to cut them. Have some Goo-Gone or other adhesive remover ready to clean them with if you want to use them again.Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase, and will likely buy this item again if I end up needing more. And I think it turned out better than actual curtains would have.

Fue una gran decepcion ver lo que contenia el empaque. Es solo una enorme tela aluminizada, delgadita, con adhesivos de velcro que se pegan a la ventana, no es una persiana ni la calidad de una. Habria funcionado de igual forma comprar en un negocio de telas la tela aluminizada y en home depot los adhesivos
