I use this for smoothies. The cup capacity is good and the design allows you to get the cup quite full compared to some other models. It has the power to blend up semi-frozen fruit and veggies with very little problem and is a great choice for a quick smoothie for a workout or an on-the-go breakfast. Cleaning is as easy as rinsing it out, filling with water, add a squirt of soap, and blend. To get rid of the soap empty it, rinse again, and blend again with plain water.I find two downsides to this particular model. First, there is no way to see how the smoothie is blending. You can open it to see if it is sufficiently blended - which can be a bit messy, or sample with a straw - which is a bit less messy but you may get part way through before you realize that you need to blend more. The second is the straw itself. Since I use mostly whole fruits and vegetables and sometimes ice, I find myself wishing for a larger straw that would handle my thicker smoothies and an occasional chunk better.Overall, this blends extremely well and I can probably find a replacement straw that I like better. For telling when it is fully blended, I will probably blend multiple times to better ensure smoothness.

This is the perfect travel blender. We travel a lot and my son loves to make his banana strawberry smoothie almost every evening. While we were out of town for almost two weeks, he was able to make his smoothies with no issues at all. The motor is powerful and blends everything smoothly. Easy to use and charge and easy to clean. I love that it keeps his smoothies cold with the insulated cup. This would also be perfect for an rv or an apartment with not a lot of space. Great blender!

It works intermittently, is difficult to clean, and the instructions state it's not to be used for frozen items (which makes it not ideal for smoothies, which is the reason I got it). I would recommend a regular blender.

I recently moved off the grid for work and this has been a game changer. I have access to a kitchen and French press coffee maker, but limited solar power, and not much room or energy for larger plug-in appliances.Although this can do much more than make lattes, it can actually blend smoothies, I use this to make my life a little more comfortable and make specialty blended coffee drinks with my French press, simple syrup, ice, and powdered flavoring. It keeps my fancy coffee drink cold throughout the morning until I refill around noon, though I’m sure it could last longer, and most importantly for me, is rechargeable and takes minimal power from our solar system. On cloudy days or during storms I can still make a smoothie or fancy coffee drink without power as long as I remember to charge it before hand. This is a great blender for folks who spend a lot of time on the road or live in rustic or back-country environments that want to still have some comfort drink items they would typically have at home.
