This product does NOT work with an electric strap machine. It's only made for the hand tools method. I wrote to the company, but they never responded. Any company that does not respond doesn't get my business. If you plan on using the tools provided, it will work fine. Just know you are buying from a seller that doesn't respond to service questions.

Overall this strapping kit is very functional just poor instructions on how to use the parts made it a problem. I have included an image from another product that uses the same buckles as this kit and it was the only way I could figure out how to use the buckles. The additional tool and strapping material is fine for someone who has low need for strapping shipments but when needed really needs it. I use these for shipping UPS battery packs (145lb cardboard shipper) since no amount of tape will hold the weight.There are better tools and maybe a better kit but this was what I could afford and what I found. Except for the instructions making no sense related to threading strap into buckle so it could be tightened with tensioner tool, this kit is fine for two or three times a year I need it.

The steel clips seem uniform and very solid. I imagine they would hold straps very securely, however since I did not receive any of the strapping material, instructions, or the tool to fix them to the boxes I routinely ship, I cannot honestly provide more information than that.

I have looked for this item for years. When I ship boxes of presents at the holidays, books, or just anything heavy that might split a box if it is dropped (and if you look at the shipper's warehouses all your boxes are dropped 4'-6' multiple times in transit) then I want a product like this to wrap around the box to make sure it doesn't split at the seams. Tape is great but this will go over the tape and make sure your box remains intact until it reaches its destination.

I love this kit. I keep it on my truck and use it all the time for my banding and bundling needs. It's cheap, compact, and comes with 300 clip seals, a tensioner and a cutting tool, with a 3000 thousand feet polypropylene strapping roll. It's an amazing product!
