The plane is more of a novelty rather than a useful tool.

VERY SMALL FORM FACTOR. Hold with fingertips only. Probably best used on balsa because pine was virtually impossible.Box had at least 3 QR codes/one printed on box and two on attached labels. Apparently instructions. The code images were about 3/4†by 3/4†and none could be read by my phone. That did not help one bit!Out of the box, the chisel plate needed flattening. Easy to do on a diamond stone with a few strokes and it made a big difference. Visual inspection on top edge makes me believe that it needs honing, too.Pushing hard on plane to take a light cut with the grain through pine board causes the blade to recede no matter how tight you crank down the fixing knob. That’s why I believe that it should be used for only very light woods .Alignment of the blade to the body is very difficult because of the size of the unit. Precision is just about impossible for any setting. Blade seems a shade wider than the wood body which is critical for shoulder planing of a groove.Biggest info to know THIS IS A TINY DEVICE and difficult to hold and operate with any precision.

Not very useable won’t hold the depth set and quickly stops working because the blade retracts. I could tighten the stew with players however it might break the wood handle as it is made of ebony, a beautiful but very brittle wood. Unfortunately a waste of money for practical use.
