Depending picture of use yarn will get caught on top handle ficture.Also the shoulder strap mechanism for lengthening or shortening was made incorrectly.

Was so excited for this but then I used it once for maybe an hour, and the top stick piece fell off and was completely stripped on the inside where the screw goes in. Not usable at all now. I used some wood glue to try and stick it back into place and hopefully that will work. Should’ve bought a sturdier one I guess.

The dowel piece was too stripped easily when attempting to screw in the bottom piece. It falls apart & cannot stay assembled.

I got this so that I would be able to walk while crocheting projects. It ended up coming in handy on a recent cruise, as I was able to continue on crochet projects. An issue I came across is that this does repeatedly loosen, and it led to the inside wood (which is thin) to become stripped, as the rod is held onto the base with a screw. I ended up using wood glue to repair it, and have had zero issues since. It spins freely (likely the cause of the loosening) and makes it so much easier to get the yarn ai need while keeping proper tension. Overall, it's great to have, I just wish the wood within the rod had been a bit stronger, or at least the screw base had been glued or secured better.

I was so excited to test this product, as a beginner knitter/crocheter who struggles with juggling skeins of yarn while trying to learn the art... Unfortunately, as I was screwing the 'arm' onto the base, the metal insert that holds the screw inside the dowel piece came right out, and the screw will not stay in without it. Alas, as this makes the item unusable, I can't recommend it. That said - the materials themselves are good quality, so I was actually really surprised that it happened, and it might be a one-off!
