The penetrating power of my Porter Cable nailgun and pins' shear strength are more than adequate to prevent skating over fresh epoxy glue while clamping laminated hardwood boat parts. Pin holes are very small and do not require puttying after epoxy glue has cured and clamps may be removed.

These work pretty well until you get down to the end of the strip. The gun refuses to shoot the last 6 or 8 "pins"
