Quality tape. Not too thick, not too thin. A good, usable width and strong adhesive. Great for building battery packs and insulating circuit boards in compact devices. The price is good, too.

This tape is heat resistant up to 572 degrees Fahrenheit or 300 degrees Celsius and works great for sublimation projects. Plus, there is no messy residue left behind when removing the tape, which is nice.Currently being sold for $7.99 (January 2025) for 4 rolls that are approximately ¾†in width and 52’ in length (208’ total length for four rolls), I think this is an excellent value!

I used this heat tape for my sublimation projects. The tape held the material perfectly in place while I used the heat press, ensuring my designs came out flawless. I received four rolls, which were more than enough for my needs. The price is also reasonable. It doesn’t leave any residue, and it peels easily. The tape worked exactly as I hoped, making my crafting process smoother and more enjoyable. I highly recommend this product to anyone working on similar projects. It’s reliable and does the job well. Plus, having extra rolls on hand is always a bonus. This heat tape truly exceeded my expectations.

You can see the "Kapton" trademark in my photo here. This is apparently a Chinese knockoff of Dupont Kapton tape, in a form typically marketed by the 3M corporation. See the second photo for technical specs. Of course, I can't say for sure that this source does not have license to manufacture this Dupont trademarked product, but maybe so. Regardless, this is the real stuff and good quality. On Amazon, this kind of tape is often purchased by those making Tshirts with the hot transfer process, because the tape is so heat resistant. However, there are so many other uses. It is used when building high voltage components such as transformers. I myself use this tape in oil painting, as a way to mask over painted areas from being damaged when painting neighboring areas. On dried oil paint, the tape can be removed without damage. The adhesive is silicone based and does not dry out.

I use this tape to hold surface mount components in place while I solder them, also as a heat shield to prevent accidentally melting plastic near where I am soldering (I am rather clumsy), and also to provide electrical insulation where bare metal could potentially touch (this is much cleaner than electrical tape). This does the job well. Adhesion is good too.No thickness is specified, but this is relatively thin. I'd guess around 1 mil.Surprisingly, the rolls were marked with the Kapton brand name, which seems inappropriate since these don't seem to be a genuine DuPont product, but rather generic polyimide tape (marked as Made in China). It does seem to work every bit as well as the real thing, but I question whether it's violating the trademark.

I needed some high temp tape for my diy insulation on my 3d printer. Held up my fire blanket perfect while I installed it and is coming in handy for keeping my print head in place while I print a new one. Heated chamber to 60C and saw no loss of adhesion.

Unlike other KAPTON type heat tape that I've tried, adhesive on this tape does not leave a line at the point if unrolling, it unrolls smooth, clean, and sticks well. This tape is a great dielectric for tight spaces, and can be formed for good fit.I just used this tape to cover up a lateral tare of a li-ion cell wrap. Instead of having to re-wrap a cell it's just a quick fix that'll work for a time, and this tape went on very well.Naturally this tape will work great for circuit boards, it's real Polyimide, not just some yellow adhesive film.

Good price for the amount you get. I won't be needing to buy heat resistant tape for a long while. The tape sticks well, the only complaints I have are the tape is difficult to cut with scissors and difficult to get off the roll when using it a second time. I recommend folding in the tip of the tape forming a tab after every use or else your going to have a hard time getting the tape off the roll the next time you need to use it.
