This heavy-duty potato ricer works really well and makes super smooth mashed potatoes with minimal effort. The build is solid, and it feels durable. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that it requires a bit of strength to press, especially with larger batches. Otherwise, it’s a great kitchen tool!

This potato ricer is heavy duty and big enough that you can stick the whole potato in without having to cut it in half. It seems pretty easy to use and very sturdy. I really like that you can wash it in the dishwasher!

If you fill it right up, you will need quite a bit of oomph to compress it (or I'm just getting weak in my old age!). I solve that by only filling up 2/3 or so, and that seems to do the trick. The metal used in making this seems to be a high quality, and it is dishwasher safe (or hand wash, obviously). Could also be used for making puree. But using it for taters definitely helps to make silky smooth mashed! 5/5

The ricer is solid made with stainless steel, dishwasher safe and has a high capacity. It can handle a large potato at once but can be quite difficult to compress. The handle isn't well design and becomes very uncomfortable to use with a full load of potato. I had to wrap the handle with a dish cloth to compress the ricer fully.

This is a very well made commercial quality, this will last a lifetime.I use this often to make the best mashed potatoes and gnocchi.It works well, it does hold a large amount in the basket and sometimes requires some muscle to squeeze. I tend to not fill this right to the top so i have more leverage.It disassembles really well which makes it easy to clean.This is a little more expensive then the usual round ricer but I bent the handle on the last one I had, this is well worth the price. Its the last one I will need to buy.

First of all, this tool is absolutely not made of stainless steel as advertised. I tested it, and it is not magnetic, which confirms that along with the fact that it is quite heavy. The next issue is that if you put boiled potatoes in it as instructed, it causes a lot of moist potato to get stuck inside, and it becomes extremely difficult to remove them. Plus, it's extremely hard to press to get the potato out. Overall, I don’t think this is a great product, even though it is a really nice concept, and I don't appreciate the deceptive advertising either. Therefore, I can't recommend it.
