I used these spring compressors to put new bearings in the struts on my 2002 Honda Odyssey and they worked great ! They were very easy to use even for someone like myself who has never done this before!

Work great and its half the price of advance auto. Works great recommend if you use this use the manual wrench power tools tends to mess up the threads. Recommend these to anybody.

Works great for most of the vehicles I used it on. Had a newer dodge Dakota that it would not fit between the coils of the spring

Worked "ok" on 03 Mazda6. Too bulky for that job as a spring is very close to a strut. But might be easier to use on some cars with more room between strut and spring.

Sturdy, user friendly, not perfect but very much better quality and design than some other 'low cost' and more dangerous spring tools I've used. Good for standard automotive applications. Comes with a storage box too. Recommended.

I purchased these to help a friend swap out all four struts on his 1998 Mazda Protege. The compressors well enough. We managed to swap all four out.Getting them into position on the springs was a bit tricky, and the top end of the strut got in the way of the socket. In the end I did manage to squeeze the socket into place.Overall these worked as expected. I was careful when moving the spring while it was compressed, but I did not feel as if they were going to pop off. The locking pins gave me a little bit more assurance that the spring won't just explode while in my hands.

The unit works as designed. There was no sign of the threaded rods bending, as described in units of this type. The action was smooth, and the holding qualities fine. In several uses, no slippage occurred. Care does need to be taken to make certain the locking rods are depressed to engage the ball bearings in them, or they can slip back out.

Used them to remove springs from my 2003 Mazda Protege5. Work very well. Seem sturdy. I didn't have to tighten them too much though to compress my springs.
