Clean looking option. Perfect fit for both ends of Gen 1 SBC upper radiator hose. No leaks when applied with heat gun. Get a couple of them for backup in the event the hose needs taken off for unforeseen radiator issues. Good price and quick arrival off Amazon.

The Gates power grip clamps are a great product...clean finish, easy install and secure (no leaks). The only thing is when removing one it is highly recommended you use the proper removal tool so as not to damage your existing tubing if it is being reused. The other great thing about these are the fact you don't have to align a ratchet clamp so you can access it with a socket or wrench of some type, one position covers all.I just wish Amazon sellers had better references to the name and sizes, I have had to search to find what I was looking for, usually I go to Gates and get the sized part # and come back to get it.

Functionality is perfect, but wish image shown was accurate. Item cannot be positioned so text isn't visible on a show car.

I absolutely love these hose clamps. They have constant tension for the entire circumference of the hose and never need to be retightened. The first time I used these I was very worried about leaks and if the hose would be tight enough. My fear was un founded as the hose seems to be as tight as they ever were with regular hose clamps. Also, you never have to worry about over tightening a clamp. The only other clamp I feel even compares to these are the OEM constant tension clamps. As any one who ever had to remove one of those knows though removal and installation can be a pain to say the least. The only issue you will ever have with these, provided they are properly installed, is they are a one time use item of course. To remove the hose it will have to be destroyed and a new one installed. They are not super expensive but if you have a hose you remove every so often it could get a little pricey. One other thing I like about these. They have a very "clean" look when installed. Many of the SS worm drive clamps look a little cheesy to me depending on the application. On a show car a improperly sized worm drive clamp can look down right terrible. These have a super clean look when installed.

I had a difficult to seal silicone radiator hose on a smooth aluminum radiator spigot that leaked whenever the hose wiggled. I put this hose "clamp" on and problem solved. These things grip far tighter than any hose clamp can but the gripping force is spread over more surface area so it will not damage the hose or your radiator. I used aluminum foil loosely wrapped around it to heat the back side evenly, and used a model airplane style heat gun. Once this thing is shrunk on, you will immediately know it's not coming off. The best part is it conforms to the hose and radiator, so you can shrink it over the bead to get an even tighter seal. These things are bullet proof. No sign of any leaks after a road test. The shrink temperature is hotter than the boiling point of your coolant under pressure, so no worries about it getting soft if the car overheats.

I was a bit weary about using these. I guess I am a bit old school. I hate the look of metal clamps so I decided to give these a shot on an engine swap. I would definitely use these again. Looking to get smaller ones for heater hoses and other things. Very clean looking on shiny black silicone hoses. Almost unnoticeable except for the white markings.

Used two of these and a splice to custom fit upper radiator hose in a 56 ford Fairlane with a 302.
