I have been using this in a heavy modified V5 Kraton on 7.4v for a month or 2. Wasn't really impressed it was comparable to your average "overseas" 35kg servo. I just put the Kraton 8s ESC in the V5 and that has 8.4v. Completely woke this thing up. The heavy Kraton now darts around and feels light and nimble. Great servo if you have 8.4V capabilities but in a big truck its not worth running 7.4v or 6v.Update: Discovered I had a bent ackerman plate. Replaced with a carbon fiber one and the truck now flicks the tires. Almost too fast and powerful on 8.4 I may have to go back to 7.4v or even 6v. Excellent servo I have gotten some serious use and no issue. I would like to add that I set the end points perfectly to not stress the servo. Seems like it is going to last a long time. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Just got done trying this new servo on my TRX4 21’ Bronco. This servo is exactly what I needed after upgrading to aluminum Beadlocks, and hyrax tires. Install was drop in. The servo wire was really strained, but I still managed, I would suggest buying extenders to make it more clean. Very fast response times, very fast, and very strong. Even with my heavy rig, this thing doesn’t strain at all. The perfect upgrade to take your rig to the next level.

I ordered 6 and 2 of them were defective but Don’t let that stop you from buying them. All of my friends use these in their redcat low riders and RC crawlers and they’re so snappy and strong!

Like many other folks crawling with a TRX4 who start adding metal parts to increase weight down low for better crawling, I found the steering servo the TRX4 comes with doesn't quite cut the mustard when crawling. I looked at the upgraded Traxxas options and folks in forums seemed to think they are sloppy despite having enough power so I sought an alternative. People in the forums recommended this model servo and I have to say that I agree with them so far.My TRX4 2021 Bronco with all metal axles and portals now has no issue turning the wheels or returning them to center with this installed as the steering servo. I have it paired with the Traxxas 2262 BEC which seems to provide enough power to this servo.I will note that while this Powerhobby 729MBL servo does mount into and "fit" in the TRX4 chassis, it's not a stock exact size match. Notice in the close up image how the one side's holes don't exactly line up with where the screws are. There is a gap in the brackets which allows the screws to mount with some coercion, but wanted to point out that it's not a perfect match in terms of size compared to the stock traxxas steering servo. This one appears to be a bit narrower than the stock servo. I did replace the steering servo mount with a metal one but the hole locations match the stock plastic part. So just be aware that while this servo will fit into a TRX4 chassis, it's not exact and you'll have to tighten the screws to make them bite through the metal a bit. If you're using the plastic mount this might cause the plastic to strip out.
