These couplers are decent in fit. Also shorter than other couplers so they can make it easier to put dust collector fittings in tight spaces. But the screw head on the clamps are a weird size. They appear to be a metric size between 1/4†and 5/16â€. The clamps work well otherwise.

A simple way to join sections of 4 inch air line together that aren't tapered to fit within each other already, or are of slightly different sizes despite both nominally being 4 inch line. The rubber seals accommodate slight differences in size like that so it's handy if you have to incorporate, say, a new exhaust fan into a decades old set of 4 inch exhaust air line. The seal forms against the edge as you tighten the radiator clamp and this prohibits airline leakage that otherwise plays havoc with air lines in the same manner that putting holes in a drinking straw makes it harder to use to drink a beverage. Also helps deaden mechanical vibration and hence noise being transmitted along sections of pipe, so using something like this can be the difference between having your bathroom exhaust fan being quite loud or much less of a disturbance to others when it turn on and off.

Fits a 6" Powertec blast gate perfectly. However, when you try to mate it with a tapered 6" AC Infinity... not so much. Once the clamp starts getting into the knob zone, the knob starts cutting itself against the clamp (note the shavings on the picture). It would be a tricky exercise to try to tighten this clamp with just one hand, you'll probably mutilate the knob in the process.

Easy to use and feels very sturdy. Clamps worked well with no issues. The rubber holds well and prevents slipping when tightened properly.
