From Fine Powder To Coarse Powder
- Turning the nut clockwise for a fine grinder
The top of the pepper grinder doesn't need to be overtightened or the grinder won't work at all. The salt and pepper must have a little room to flow down through the grinder's internal mechanism.
- Turning the nut anticlockwise for a coarse grinder
Turn the mill counterclockwise to loosen the nut to the thickest position and twist the top. This will release any large grains of pepper or salt crystals that may have gotten stuck.

I lost my pepper mill. I don't know how, but I did. I was crushed... I immediately bought this one. Amazon Prime is a lifesaver! It's a small, but easy to use pepper mill. I've adjusted it on the fly for different grinds, and it worked fine. ( Fine is great on potato chips). Some reviews have said that the grinding mechanism is plastic. This is not true. It's ceramic. Plastic couldn't grind Anything but peas. Pepper corns are very nard. This mill cuts through pepper very well. I've talked long enough... This is a pepper mill. A very good and affordable one. It might look great, but it works for great!! Happy grinding! As my Wifey said.about the mashed potatoes, " MAKE E'M LOOK MEAN!!!). She was great. And yeah... She liked pepper! That's it.I love that giirl! 30 years wasn't enough. This is a very good pepper mill! Lol.

We went through a whole bunch of pepper grinders before we found this little gem.Many we tried were hard to handle, hard to open, had poor grind, dropped loose pieces or whole peppercorns, etc. All were more expensive too.This one is small, but fits a man's hand perfectly. It would also be great to throw in a backpack, for example, without taking much space.It has a slightly rough wood feel, which makes it perfect for holding with wet or greasy hands, for example. With clean hands, it just feels pleasant and doesn't slip.Pepper grind is medium: some powder, some small pieces. Like you'd get at a fancy restaurant. Really makes a perfect topping for a meal.Grind is super easy too. Just a few turns, and you got what you need. No need to twist the thing 100 times to get enough pepper for your eggs.It's not "top quality" but it's well priced. Opening is as easy as just twisting the little knob off the top, and pouring in the pepper. Use one finger to keep the metal step in the middle, while you pour in the peppercorns. Twist the knob back on, and you're good to go.Without spending a fortune, I really don't think you could do any better than this one.

This is a second grinder for white or red pepper, works fine, if maybe not built to last for many years. Would buy again however for the price.

Purchased two. Both worked the first fill but grinding was very shallow. After refilling only one worked, with shallow grinding. The other simply stopped grinding. I would turn and it would not engage. Tried to find what was the issue, but couldn't. I don't expect the other to last very long.

But it doesn't have as much control over the grind size as one would like with a hand grinder. On a budget it's wonderful, but don't expect to get a consistent grind. great to use and durable so far!

We bought this Powstro 5 Inch Pepper Mill to replace a similar one of French make which we had for many years. (It had fallen off trays on several occasions and had to be glued together as a consequence.)Our new grinder is far superior and a real bargain at the price. It looks attractive and is of solid construction from good quality oak. It has a first rate grinding mechanism and has a good capacity for peppercorns so you won't be filling it very often. Very highly recommended.
