This stand was easy to set up and use with my Roland SPD-SX sampling pad. I provided a solid and sturdy base. I was also able to use it as a stand for my Ride cymbal by removing the metal installation plate. Very versatile

Does exactly what it should. No more, no less.

This stand is well built and very stable. It is more than strong enough to hold electronic music devices like drum pads and midi modules. The mounting plate fastens to the top of the stand and four, Allen head screws are provided for attaching your device. An Allen wrench is supplied with the stand.

I wouldn't say this is a totally finished out product, but does the job. From the neck down it is great, toothed adjustments, fairly weighty, nice double braced legs, good feet, and a decent spread for stability. The lackluster portion is the drum pad mount, where it just seemed like they gave up quality. To does work, but could have been machined better and coated to make it more quality. For $88 (at the time of this review), I was expecting just a bit more.

The base/stand itself seems well made, and I would definitely trust it to be stable and sturdy enough to hold whatever I placed on the mounting plate. The problem is; I can barely get the plate to screw onto the post, and I think it might be because the threading is slightly off. I'm sure this is an infrequent issue, but it's just the law of averages; it's bound to every once in a while. As a result, the plate sits a little lopsided, and is loose enough that I don't trust putting anything on it at all.

This is a decent stand. The plate and stand feel very sturdy. Came with screws for the drum machine.
