not super sturdy, but otherwise does as it says. the legs being independent of each other lead to them occasionally going in different directions if the thing gets moved. Also the base of legs aren't very large so it is able to tip fairly easily.

The general idea is awesome and this is what I've been looking for. I hate to say that I still haven't found a way to use this well.This comes fully unassembled and it doesn't come with instructions. It seems that the stability of this comes from lap work as opposed to tabletop work. Working on this with the unit standing on the table makes for an unstable piece of work.The piece doesn't hold a single layer of fabric, I think it's better for holding a hefty piece of fabric. This doesn't hold a lighter or single layer in place enough to work on it. That's simply not going to work for me. It might be helpful to add a bit of bulk or texture to that part of the hoop where the PVC holds the fabric, but that's at your own discretion.This is a great concept that doesn't really cut it at the end of the day. I can't say I will be using this as is. I will need to alter this to use it and I'm not really sure that this is worth the "rigging" to make something like this work.

The monks cloth you use for punch needle work needs to be very taught. I saw this embroidery frame as something that I could customize for my needs.Turns out this is more flimsy all around than expected and the plastic fabric/material holders are no good. I don't know what type of work they would hold? Anyway, the whole stand is unstable. Lots of reinforcing will need to be done to make this a "go to" working frame I think probably for most handwork. I will do it, I'm good like that (and not good at throwing things away).Bottom line, out of the box (and it will not go back into the box it came in, too small), this embroidery frame may be good to hold a finished piece of handwork for display.Be prepared to make it better. Minus two stars.

Cheap quality! Very small. Come without box. Instructions is a small piece of paper. Terrible quality

I use this product every single day now that I have it. I punch needle and have a large 16x16 frame. It fits perfectly in this frame stand and I'm able to comfortably punch needle without having to hold up the frame myself. This has really changed the game for me. It's very easy to adjust the angle of the canvas and the height for however you choose to use it. I'm able to sit more ergonomically and not crouch as much.

The stand itself is very nice, and it was easy to build and put together. It rotates smoothly so you can flip back and forth between the front and back super easily. My only gripe was that the fabric is pretty loosely held by the PVC snaps. It's not a complete waste of money, but I do wish that it was able to hold the fabric taut without so much effort.
